Buy a big puffer fish and all the snails will be gone in no time!
so will your other fish.
No,some said a dwarfpuffer eats snail and can be fed red musquitolarvae.
Im finding out if their dentals will scrub off, because thats nessesary.
Best solution is looking for snail-eating-snails.
Just got6 "Helena"snails and they eat the lil snails and stop procreating when the snail are gone.so checkn that out.
btw theyre lovelylooking!

there was a thread where some-one else had the same problem. i think they got a snail eating snail...
but i cant find the thread now, so i cant say for sure.

i would recommend a clown loach, they absolutely love snails...maybe you could find another fish that feeds off snails... but if a fish isnt practical (no room, O's will eat it)
then i would recommend getting a giant snail eating snail,
although these can reproduce quite quickly too, they are a lot easier to keep track of and dispose of if you want.

Depends on what sort of snails you have got. Some snails such as Malaysian trumpets are very difficult for fish to eat, including clown loach.

MTS are cone shaped, very recognisable and once you got one, it's not be long before you are absolutely infested. They are live bearers so you only need one to start a colony.

They can be a pain and as said it depends on what type you have. the snail remover chemical that you can add isn't great as it only makes the snail drop off for you to harvest(not easy)as they will be in your filter too.it will aid in slowing the numbers down. my oscars will eat them too. I only ever had a small out brake after trying real plants. my parrot, clowns, oscars had a good meal and fun looking for them.

Oscars may eat snails, but the chances are they won't.

Prevention is better than a cure when it comes to preventing snailes from getting into your tank. They normally come in on plants so it's probably good practice to give the plants a good wash before you put them in your tank, or quarantine them for a while.
