Hey guys. Ive had my o's for about 2 weeks now. They are both about 5in long. One of their stomaches has gotten rather large and is floating on its side a lot. He acts perfectly normal except for this. I walk up to the tank and he begs for food as usual. He still chases other fish around occasionally as well. I have been feeding a mix of krill and the pellets. What do I do to help him get rid of this problem. I know he has to be uncomfortable because his belly is getting bigger and bigger. please help my O!

as long as it grabbed foods and actively swim around.
you should not worry that much. juvenile o eats like a
pig and bloated stomach looks like it is swimming abnormal.
look at this.....

It swims completely normal, but really only when Im near the tank. If I am just sitting still near it, the O lays completely on its side and doesnt move.

5 inches o could take too much food. my o grabs food
as if there is no tommorow. sometimes, food protruding
their mouth and lays motionless at the bottom....
just keep an eye after 3 to4 hours, they should be swimming
normally and wont stay at the bottom, begging for more
foods...wiggling the tails whenever you come near the glass

My O's often swim on their sides when they are nervous. If the kids walk up to the tank, the fish know the kids will not feed them so they get nervous and lay over. I wouldn't worry just keep an eye on him.

Alright! Thanks so much guys. Ill try not to worry too much then. Its just that this started yesterday morning and is continuing today. I really doubt that they are nervous at the moment, but when I start messing around with their tank they both go to a corner lay on their sides and sulk. Its actually kind of cute!

having said all our thoughts, you should still
keep your tank water in tip top condition.
