bagging the fishes from the LFS are prone to injury, an eye injury
is one of many injuries possible.....with pristine water and good diet,
it will heal in no time.....

nice set up and backdrop. is your tank fully cycled?

Re:is he blind ??? 2 years, 8 months ago #52654

i'm sorry if i bring you the bad news. cycling the tank properly could not
take with in 4 days: i suggest you get some prime and beneficial bacteria
to comfort your fishes....

can you give us info on the ff:
1) tank size?
2) filter capacity and type?
3) other tank mate?

Re:is he blind ??? 2 years, 8 months ago #52656

the tank has been cycling for 4 weeks. we also put ceramic from another filter with good bacteria to help the process. these readings we have had for 4 days.!! the tank is 135gallon (510Liters).
just the 2 little oscars in there. thats all we plan on keeping in the tank.
Filter is a fluval fx5

i thought you had the tank for 4 days. having said so, the tank
size and filter capacity would be okey. importing some materials from
the existing tank helps to expedite cycling.... just monitor it.
and do not change the water yet until there is spike in ammonia and nitrite.
and do not clean the filter yet.

That eye should heal, its cause it either injury from netting or from bad water. Either way as long as your water is good then it should heal soon. If things are not getting better after a week then add an anti-bacterial to help things

Test the water daily to make sure nitrate starts going up and that ammonia and nitrite stay at zero
I can't get no sleep
