I have an oscar in a 92 gallon tank and recently his left side has become bloated. He is now floating on his side and can not swim to the bottom of the tank. His side is very puffy and soft to the touch. It appears to be below his skin, but it has not affected his appitite or ability to actually swim around. Any ideas? I will try to post a picture in the morning. Thank you for your help.

It dose sound like a swimbladder infection. Treat ASAP. treatment isn't 100% so fast treatment with a good medication is the answer. try your local store. It usully takes a few treatments and a few bottles will be needed for a 90g tank. aquriuim salt will also be needed as treatment works best with the salt. treatments contain formaldehyde so the fish will stop feeding after.

Your oscar is seriously ill. It has a swimbladder problem and it is very advance. Treat with a swimbladder medication. It is a bit hit and miss with swimbladder problems and that is with a less serious condition. I will be honest with you and it doesnt look good for your fish. If things dont get better after 3 days of treatment i would consider euthanasia

If that fish was mine i would euthanise the fish now, but that is just my opinion and others may differ

look for one of those dental repair kits for emergency repair of broken crowns and fillings, they come with a bottle of clove oil as its a natural anastetic.
