Hi and welcome.

Ok How big is your tank?
What filter(s) are you running?
And what are your water perimeters?
We need to know Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Other than the plec dying has anything changed or been done to the tank lately?

These questions will help us help you!

Ok, these are important things for us to know. Oscars are very sensitive fish and require VERY clean water. You need to get a Liquid water test kit! They are available at most local fish store... You can test the water and let us know what the readings are.

Oscars also require a LOT of filtration, if you could see what your filter is and let us know that would help too!

As for now, i would immediately do a 30% water change, and then again tomorrow!

But Please test your water!
