my smaller O has a tiny white spot on both eyes and a small white spotcon her side while my larger O is always perfectly fine. Im starting o get concerned since her swimming habits have changed since i noticed the spots on the eyes. i only noticed this yesterday and shes seems confused when i feed them like she doesnt know where it is or just misses. i dont want her to go hungry but my larger O just thinks all the food is for him so he steals it. How is it that my larger O has always been fine and my smaller O has the spot on her eyes and a small spot on her side? shouldnt both be affected? I did get them at the same time so does "sickness" effect growth as well? im very concerned and my first action was to rise the temperature in my tank and i also will do a water change tomorow. please and thank you for help
Have you tested your water? Also, it may be difficult, but if possible get a photograph.
It is very common for fish to suddenly developed little marks on their bodies. In most cases these are nothing to worry about and they disappear as quickly as they appeared. Obviously you want to keep an eye on these things and if they start getting bigger or spreading then it could be a cause for concern. These white marks, exactly how big are they? Are they raised at all? Don't worry about the fish not getting any food, they can go for a long time without food, so a day or two is not going to cause any harm.
If you can get some photos, or maybe some video footage, that would certainly help us understand exactly what you are talking about, it's very difficult to us from a description.

ok thanks, ill try to get something to show, and no i dont have any water kits, but maybe i can get one tomoro. lets say that it is my water, is there supplements that i can treat it with?
Test your water and post the results here, I would put money on the fact that your water parameters are off. And if this is indeed the case, getting your water right and keeping it right should be enough to fix the problem.
It's NOT smart to piss off the girl with the BAN button!
Yes that could do it, and depending on how you clean your filter and how often could effect it too. Tell me how and how often you do your tank maintenance. This might help us. How big is your tank, what filters are you running and how many fish are in your tank?

sry about the small bubbles all around i know its a little hard to see with them in the way, but the spot that i was talking about is on her right side so you have to wait until she turns for a bit. u also have to look closely for the spot on her eyes but i checked the video and i noticed them so i hope you are able to c it too

Looks like your fish has got pop eye disease. We really need to know your water conditions, so if you haven't got a test kit, you are going to need to get one very quickly. You need to test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrates and pH. I suspect that poor water conditions have caused this problem as Popeye disease is related to water quality. Have you been cleaning your filters at all?
Okay, as soon as you can, get a test kit, or take a sample of water to your fish door and they will do it for you, but we need to know the exact readings. I think you are also going to need a medication that treats bacteria infections since this is what causes Popeye disease. I'm very surprised that this has happened to such a young fish.
