Ever since I got the little guy (well hes about 5 inches) he has not really eaten well. Play with pellets, spits them in and out, but hes very playful and I thought he was just picky as hell.'

well he has a bloated belly now. I know for sure I cant get him to eat peas,, so what else can I do? Hes still active just not interested in food. He goes up there at feeding time and it seems like he just looks and realizes its not what he wants and leaves.

cant figure him out, my JD is smaller and will grab the biggest thing he sees. Of course my greedy Os do the same, so I dunno what his problem is. My GT kinda acts like that too. I figured that when they get hungry enough they will eat but, they seem just plain old picky and not interested.

just keep your water in tip top condition and it will recover if ever did
have problem before hand... watch for any changes in attitude.... but as
long as he is active and interact with other fish..no need to worry.

He's very active! I wonder if they were giving them feeders and that's his deal. I know they are hard to digest and seems like something a fish store would do to RDs. He looked better this morning n actually ate a piece or two of shrimp. Now if I ca get my gt and rd in the 55 to eat more thn they do. Stressed from the move I'm sure

Oh and above I said my rd was in the 55 with a gt, I meant jd in the 55 with gt. Rd in large tank, just clearing it up before someone thinks I'm crazy for putting an rd in a 55 with a tankmate!

he has always been very active and acts 'toddler like'. I love his personality! He swims around the tank looking for stuff to get into, likes to tease other fish, dig, and even though he runs from my lutino, he still comes out and likes to get him to chase him around. So he hasnt ever been hiding or anything. His stomach looks like it has fixed itself, and he is getting an appetite when it comes to feeding time. He still grabs my Os pellets (large size) and spits it in and out of his mouth. Like hes playing with it or just cant chew it well cause its a little big for him. I give him smaller pellets but he usually grabs theirs.
