my 2 years old Tiger oscar has now got pop eye.. its right side eye is a little swollen and a little black as well...

I isolated the fish and added the AZOO BACTERIA TREATER

I plan to do this for a weeks time.

anybody has a better solution??


btw. after I isolated the fish, it stopped eating.. may be it is under stress

ya dude.. water is fine.. ph around 7.2(7.5 is max we get here in India, without adding anything different for PH) ammonia and nitrites well under control..

as far as I know.. its some internal bacteria may be...

hey warlock, welcome back..... i was told that Epsom salts help release
fluids in the case of pop eye, just add 1tablespoon/5 gal water. an antibiotic
could help heal the infection.... i have no experience with pop eye yet.

Yeahh.. its my first time as well.. I freaked out when I saw it.. but luckily I had a whole bunch of Azoo products (its a really cool Asian company dealing with all sorts of Fish products)

First I was wondering how is this even possible..
- I have a canister filter, with UV and Biological filteration
- I have a Ozone machine, that releases Ozone molecules in the tank water every hr
- The food I give it is Bio-degradable
why me whyyyyy (ok I am being too melo dramatic about it, but I love my fishes)

about the tank.. yes I think I should test the water twice, any pharmacy pills required for this kinda disease ?? I read around and it doesnt look that bad.. I am just being super cautious about it..

As for pharmacy pills, I have no idea... I would just keep your water in check, and do as Paul said and add salt to reduce the fluid build up... I think all will turn out ok!
