so i notice that the bigger of the sevrums has HITH i looks like.......
i no that cant be spred around and will clean up with healthy water
but my other concern is his fins they look wierd

back half of tail fin has white almost see threw and the rest of the tail fin looks the color of his body


if it is fin fot
how do you go about treating it?
does it spred to other fish....
im thinking about taking the fish back and saying you no what you sold me an un healthy fish :angry:

It looks to me like fin rot probably caused by damage from bullying. I see from the pic that you have at least one other fish- any aggression?

This will heal as long as your water is good and the aggression stops, what are your water test results? Just get any treatment for fin rot and remove any carbon from filters

the sevs are new to the tank
i got two
about 7inchs maybe 8
and really fat
fatter than oscar who is an easy 9inch
theres no bulling in the tank
so this had to of happen in the tank that the fish was previously in
so your saying no meds are nessary for the fin rot?
just keep water peramiters good and it should clear up on its own?
peramiters are 0-0-5 right now
and never get above 40
im a good fish keeper haha

I would get some fin rot treatment, most lfs will sell it

Or if you dont want to spend the money you can cut off the affected part of the fin

Personally i would buy the treatment

In both cases the fin will grow back

so treatment is nessary?
ok if thats the case i dont want to medicate the whole tank 135 gallons that would be a hell of alot of meds needed
so maybe throwing the fish in a bucket with the meds letting him soak in it for a couple hours then throw him back into the tank for a period of 7 days will this be ok?
