Ok I dont know too much about fish, My husband is the fish person. But he cannot even give me the answer. My albino oscar fish bonnie has what looks simular to bloody stool, or a hemroid or heck may even be eggs, even though she still a baby so we think. They are only an inch and a half long 2 of them in a 10 gal tank.. Yes I know it needs to be bigger we have only had them 2 weeks and it is what my son picked out for his christmas tank. This also happened 2 days after she ate her first live feeder fish. Please help me, Ive gotten rather attached to my babies and I cant wait til tomorrow to make sure she will be ok..

hi there and wecome to ofl.com seems like it could be sum kind of a internal parasite or maybe she is just battling to digest the feeder,before we jump to any conclusions could u maybe post a pic so we can have a good look at yr oscar and maybe post the water test results aswell to give us a beter idea of what kind of condition yr tank is in.

You nitrites should be zero but you should be getting a reading for nitrate. I suspect this is a new tank and isnt cylced or you didnt do the test for nitrate properly. Can you give a result for ammonia. If your test result for ammonia is above zero then do daily water changes until your nitrate starts to show above zero and also add some stresszyme

How long had that red stool? been there. Fish poo colour will depend on what you feed it. When i feed my fish red hikari pellets to poo comes out red

I wouldnt feed you fish for a couple days and hope that whatever it is comes out. If its part of your fishes bowels i suspect the fish may be in trouble but it might sort itself out. Sorry i cant be any more help but i have never experienced this before. Let us know how you get on

sorry to say but it does look rather serious.

the only advise i can give you is to keep yr water conditions in an excelent condition and hope what ever is coming out the anus retracts back into the body.
