Hey , Eric.
You lost me on the facebook thing, i don't know how that works.
Most of us use a photo hosting site like photobucket , upload the pics there and copy paste the IMG code into the post.
Water coming back normal, can we have the actual test results for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH?
How big is your tank and do you have tankmates?

My Ammonia when it was high really affected the Ph in my tank. It was so light yellow it was way down in the mid 5's but my card didnt go lower than 6. I have a high range Ph but no low one with my API Master kit.

My ph is dark yellow. Should I raise the ph?

DO NOT adjust the PH unless you know exactly what you are doing.

Oscars are FINE with any PH between 6-8. As long as it is stable!

Can you tell me exactly what you mean by Ammonia is coming back safe? Are you using test strips?

I have a thing that stays in the tank that reads the ph is like 5.2 and it says the amonnia is in safe levels. What is that on his side...?

I use and a lot of members, the 'API Master Test Kit' it does all four of the tests.

if he is not that active, perhaps you have some water issues. fishes
may sulk at the bottom to conserve energy when needed or darted away
hitting everything to shake off something.

can you post ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate level

please post the full water test

I take it you are referring to the white mark behind the fin(on the body)?
can you describe the texture? smooth? cotton wool? raised? flat?

it could be a fungus. and most likely water condition related. I wouldn't advise any meds until you 100% certain you know what it is, as the wrong meds could delay the right treatment by wks. most meds need 7days to clear before you can use another med, this is why I wouldn't jump into adding meds. if its water relater a tidy up and getting conditions back on track may fix the problem.

Okay so I went to petsmart and had them test the water came back with 6.0 ammonia an. 160-200 nitrate. The in tank testing thing I have wasn't working. She also said it wad a fungus on him. So I fixed the water and it has a ph of 6.8 and ammonia is now 0.0 along with nitrate. But he's just sitting at the bottom of the tank like gasping for air and he won't eat. I don't know what else I can do. I also added med for the fungus.
