HI as some of you know i have had some bad luck with my tanks
and had to put all my fish in a smaller tank
since the move my plec has gone nuts he is attacking his mate another plec ramming os hes gone nuts tested water amm 0 nits0 nats15 ph
thanks in advance for any advice ps this as only just started to happen in last 1hr

what size of a tank did you put them in sounds like maybe the tank is to small and your plec has become aggressive due to this

It could well be the fish are now stressed because of what has been happening so they are showing it through aggression.

HI it is 6x2.5x2.5 he just had ago at my 12" tiger oscar but he turned round and clamped him know he is hideing under some bog wood (plec that is)

tank should not be too small, but the new territory may have triggered this response.
was the new tank water the same temp as the old?
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

HI noddy yes the temp was the same its at 26.5 wow i did not know that temp can cause this i always thought that if it was to hot or cold thay kinda sulk thanks
as i am doing this he is still doing it but just after the other plec at mo
i dont wot as happend he was fine

I remember reading that bottom dwellers are very prone to unsettling especially after what you, your family and your fish have gone through.
Maybe what ever they done to the tanks (bleach etc etc ) still has a continuing affect on them physically and Penn's info on the physological status is really p*ssing them of too..

hi jamie no there is no bleach in this tank it had my red devil in it thay did not touch this one glad to say he as stoped being a div lol at mo and all seems well
