Hi I posted the following as the subject now closed relative to a member finally giving up and taking the fish back to the shop I was asked to reopen the subject
Hi I know what is said on this is correct, (TANK SIZE) theories are proven by results it has worked BUT my experiences contradict. I bought a pair of Os 10in / 9.1/2in from a person that had raised them in a tank 3ft 15-15in with a pile of other fish and they laid and fertilised eggs on a regular basis's he also had several other fish in the tank ! I
placed them in a 5-2-2ft tank 8 days ago they are looking good they follow me while I work in the fish house but will not eat they seem to have a problem with a higher tank (2ft) ??
Now they have eaten !!!!!!!!!! 35 angel fish put in as a last resort 3 days ago now they are refusing other foods as before I think being in a fish house and seeing all the other small fish surrounding them is the problem

I'm pleased to hear that they are eating. However, you will not convince anyone on here that's a 3 x 15" x 15" sized tank is big enough for one Oscar, let alone two. however, I don't want to get into an argument about it.

Hi the fact is I bought 2 Os from an Aquarius that reached from small to 10 & 9.5 in .....sorry I originally got the size wrong his tank is 4-15-15 in tank.
He had spawnes from them also !!! I was Abel to by the fish because the seller knew they needed more room it was the seller that forwarded this site link so verification of the fact is not out of the question it is not just my word.
With my Os being able to see hundreds of other fish do I stand a chance of getting them to eat anything other than other fish
