Hey guys,

I own a 55 gallon tank with three 5 inch oscars and 1 5 inch goldfish. My filtration system consists of a 55 gallon aqueon filter and a 30-45 gallon aqueon filter. Two of my oscars are the typical black tiger oscar while the other one is an albino. Everything has been fine expect my albino oscar is pretty much sitting in the left corner of the tank not moving much (he was perfectly healthy before this). After realizing this today I also realized that the other two oscars are chasing him or her around. Is this breeding behavior? Theres a lot of chasing and some nipping and "lip locking".. I doubt it is because they probably aren't old enough yet. The albino(the lethargic one) is definitely not 6 months yet and the other 2(the bullies) are probably around the same age...maybe a couple months older. What's going on? What complicated my situation is that I've been treating the 2 black oscars(for hole in the head) for 2 days now. My albino was not sick but could the medication be affecting him also? Please help me out someone.

OK Hun, here we go....

You need a 100 gallon tank for 2 Oscars. 3 is a bad number because as you are learning, two will gang up on the 3rd... And the goldfish ( who requires completely different water) has to go...

You have too many fish in a small tank, not enough filtration, and you need HUGE frequent water changes.

So in short, find a big tank NOW, add a big canister filter, and rehome one Oscar, and the goldfish. You also need to do about 30% water changes with gravel vacuuming several times a week. This will also help with the HITH!

Can you please post water readings for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and PH.

she right u need a bigger tank if you cant get one find a home for one of them and they are most likly fighting because there not enough room so they well take out the weaks one.
