I read here someone else had a similer problem but it was never reposted on if the problem got better.
My O has been under his stump for about 4 days, which I know could just be the sulk, however
on day 3 i noticed he had a poo haning from his bottom that was bright white and looked like
a knotted rope. I did some reading here that it may be parasites but like i said the post was never updated
so I don't know if the other O ever made a come back from the parasites.
Any ideas,

Without extensive tests and examination of your Oscar poo it would be difficult to be sure whether the fish has got an internal parasitic infestation. Does the fish looked bloated at all? Have you checked your water conditions for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and PH. Obviously we will need to be sure that your water is in good condition first

I thought they would be ok but I tested anyway.
this is before my weekly water change,
PH 7.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
temp 82 f
I have seen a little algae as of late, but nothing serious. I believe this may started after
she had a couple crickets, but not sure.

Difficult to know what to suggest. The chances are you will only confirm parasites by inspecting the feces under a microscope, unless it had a worm infestation, in this case they may be visible to the naked eye. If you can, and it will probably be very difficult so I'm probably asking a lot, see if you can take a photograph of the feces and post it on here so we can say it. However, I'm not holding much hope unless you have got an extremely good camera.
If this carries on I suppose you could try an internal parasitic medication, soak the Oscars food in the medication and see what happens, it won't cause any problems if the fish hasn't got a parasitic problemin the first place, but it may just work if your fish has picked up some kind of parasites.
Another thing you could try is feeding a certain type of food for a whole week, something completely different and see if the poo changes color, it could be down to what you're feeding your fish.

Yeah picture may be hard due him staying under his stump. I noticed him gapping his mouth and flaring his
gills like he starving for air so I went and bought a bigger air pump and stone.
I guess I will just keep an eye on him for a couple more days.
thanks Boss

Well looks like he is getting worse, he has been gasping mouth is opening and closing like there is no oxygen
in his tank, gills are opening and closing just like his mouth. from what I have read here, its not a good thing.
I did a 30% water change this morning hoping that would help but it didnt! I just dont understand where this came
from all in a weeks time, from happy to dying in 5 days??
water chems are perfect, he comes out from under his stump and lazily floats around bumping into his log and tank
glass, doesnt chase the dempsy its painful to watch him.
any ideas at this point would be very appreciated.

Its difficult to say what the problem is but it doesnt sounds good
If it was lack of oxygen in the tank your fish would be gasping at the top of the tank
You can try the anti parasite treatment i suppose

He does go to the top, and stick his lips out of the water. I have the bubbler going and the top of the water
very agitated, more so then I have had his whole life. Like I said this just started.

gasping for air is not a good sign...it is not lack of oxygen only.
fish will also act that way with bad water condition. what test kit
are you using? is it taking food greedily?

API Master kit, chems are good to go. my boy passed last night, I put him under our
new tree, in the front yard. now I am unsure what to do, dont know if I will replace
him or not I am a little gun shy now.
