a picture could help us help you more effectively. without it, i suggest
to keep on standby mode...there are times wrong medication aggravate the
situation instead of curing....

are they like salt grains? if so it could be ick. an increase in temp to 85 degrees C, and aquarium salt can cure it. But let us know what it is first b4 doing anything so we can be sure!

thats how I treated and they were fine in a few days!

sounds like ick. i have cured it before. All the above is true, just make sure you treat long enough because the ick is a parasite. when you see the symptoms (white spots) the parasite is at the end of its cycle and the salt only works on when the parasite reproduces which happens every couple of days. It is important to treat for a few extra days once symptoms subsided to kill all the parasites.

Thats right, and dont forget that salt doesnt evaporate, so it will still be full strength until you start doing water changes. If you are due for one, do that first before salting the tank, because you want to keep it in there long enough to cure them. Besides a fresh change before treatment may do them some good.

1 tbls for every 5 gallons, (every 10 gallons if you have a pleco or similar fish)

now you need to figure out the source of the ick. were they new fish? Did you add new fish? were they stressed from something?

Lol don't freak out. Ick can be fatal if not treated but if you catch it and treat it, than it's really not a big deal. It can be cured in 24 hours if treated properly.

Ick takes more than 24hrs to cure. The salt treatment only works when the parasite is reproducing, which takes place once the parasite falls off the host. The white spots are toward the end of their cycle so your fish can show signs for many days.

It does sound like white spot but we need a pic to be sure

Cure for white spot is either raise temp to 30c or add a treatment for white spot (beware this will turn the silicone holding the glass together a light blue)
I can't get no sleep
