Hi All,

After the loss of Oscar, one of two O's, The remaining one Tigger, has started acting weird. He keeps chasing his tail like a puppy!! Has any one ever come across this before?
I'm guessing he is lonely now he is on his own.

I will be adding another fish in a couple of weeks, once i know he is not sick with the same thing that killed oscar and i have decided and researched what can go in with him if not another oscar.

Thanks.

Oscars often do strange things. Just check the water conditions as fish can often dart around and do strange things if the water isn't quite right
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved

yeaah, my Tiger is also alone in the tank (with a pleco; but pleocs sleep most of the time, boring! )and sometimes does strange things! i think lonely oscars do that a lot!but my one doesn't chase his own tail:unsure:
100 US Gallon Tank - 1 Tiger Oscar (Tiger);
1 Common Pleco

30 Gallon Tank - 4 Angels (1 Veil Tail, 1 Albino, 2 Marble)

Well I can say that my O acts very strange at times, not chasing his tail, but have checked the water etc and it's fine. I do sometimes think he's bored!

Its hard to fly like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys

I can imagine it does get quite boring in the tanks Humans have lost a lot of the ability for self-entertainment in the last couple decades.

Imagine, not having anything to distract you! No PC, no TV, no other acronyms
