As some of you know I started to build a stand (if you don't look for I'm not paying for crap )

Well the project continues here's an update

Ahh crap better put a base in for the sump

that's better

ok time to start the transformation from stand to cabinet

side first

next come's the tricky bit tongue and groove panel don't always line up legs but will work out ok

note panel for door 1 ready for frame

light let me down so progress stopped

but more tomorrow

Its coming along nicely. Will your tank be in the same room in which you are building it? If so Id stain the same colour as the floorboards and blinds

Gloss black or even a matte finish would be great too.

looking good, i would go with stain too, paint fades in colour and can chip. stained wood keeps it colour better and if you dent it, with stain it doesnt show much compared to chipped paint
I can't get no sleep

Can't rush a mad backyard carpenter
and I had an excuse yesterday (picked up the 4ft sump tank

sump must be fitted underneath before the last side goes on

I scored a 48x15x18 and will fit below
