hi i have a 55 gallon with a fluval 405 canister and an undergravel filter with 2 aquaclear70 powerheads i hade a really good idea 4 a Fluidized Bed Filter i thought. i have about a 2 gallon mini hex aquarium and i has a lid with a whole in it 4 a mini undergravel filter(lid is removable). my idea was to runa house coming from my powerheadinto the small hole and silicone it to the hole on the inside and silicone the lid on making it water tight hen drill another hole and having another hose going in to the aqurium 4 the output (i would silicone that to) and i also have 2.5 pounds of mirine sand will there be enough pressure from the power head to keep the sand suspended and be able to push the water back into my tank

with out the schematic diagram, it is very hard to
visualized your ideas and concept. assuming that what
you are saying jibes with what i am thinking, 70LPH
can push and stir your sand. then the bed filter must
have enough height to accommodate floating sand, otherwise,
it will just go with the flow of water going back to your tank.
