found a nice 200gal for $50, but it is quite old. the glass is fine just need to seal it again. How would i go about doing this. anything special i need to know?? any input is great.

Hi there, just scrape off the old silicone and clean the area well. Then use 100% silicone(avalible at any hardware store) And reseal. Please make sure to water test after resealing. Water test it Outside or it the bath tub. Good luck and That is a great price for a great tank!

use a very sharp thin bladed knife to clean the old silicone and ensure you tape all pannels in place with gaffer tape also i think with a tank that big you should seek EXPERT aquarium builders advice!!!!!!!!!!!the pressure on a tank of that sise is immense and no disrespect but you clearly dont know what your doing so my advice would be to get professional help........even if you got to pay someone to strip it and reseal it you will still have an EXTREMELY cheap tank and peace of mind to boot !!!!!!!!!!!!!! just my opinion

ya ive been trying to find someone who would do it. hard when you live in a little town. Im going to ask one of my fish friends. he build a 300 so i think hed do it for me. or help or something. only problem is hes never home. i gotta watch his fish for him.... but we'll see

Got it cleaned and full of water. no leaks to far. keepin my fingers crossed. got it outside. too much water to not. had to lift my house this weekend. too much weight. hahaha. pretty bad when your house is sinking cuz of too many fish???
