lately, i had green algae in my 110 gal tank. algae was so
deep that i could not see the big fish 21 inches beyond the
front glass. after some reading, i found out that the more
lateral surface area that come in contact with water, the more
efficient is the cleaning, thus i created a DIY filtering system
using an EMPTY plastic container of water. i stuffed more media in
it and run. BINGGO! it works perfectly. see schematic diagram
