You can 'cover' the screw with some white nail polish that should make it a lot less conspicuous (ask your local lady-friends for the white of their french manicure kit, it's partly see-through and works really well for this sort of job).

The tank will get home in the weekend if i can gather a small army to cary it by then, the good news is that it fits perfectly in my elevator, so it only has to be carried on short distances.
glass aquarium? It might be worth your while to figure out a few places where you can have your army set it down along the way in case of emergency. (I also suggest having pizza/beer/their preferred beverage/food there for afterwards... it really helps encourage forgiveness, because the small army doesn't typically know what they're in for, and when you move they will probably have to help again)
I hope it gets there safely!
It will look great in the end
Great ideas, i might have to buy you a drink some time, saved me from a lot of hassle.

If you are on a slab, you could do a little sanding, if not then it would not be worth the time, owing to the fact that that kind of weight will "settle" and will not be the same next time you check the level.

Again, most excellent work! That's about as level as they come!

Updates: got drunk on saturday so i wasn't able to get the tank at home on sunday (i'll probably do it tomorrow), the fish are doing fine, not eating as much as i'd like becouse they are still a bit scared of me.

Let's hope so. The 2x4's looked rather flimsy for this size of a tank.
