I was at a fish store today and they had a 110 gallon tank. They personaly have tried to reseal the tank twice and both times have failed .I dont really know how to explain this tank but i will try a bit . On 2nd thought i wont lol .
its just kinda differant .Anyway the owner said that her 19 year old son has tried to seal it twice .I looked it over a bit ( not knowing what im looking for ) It looked kinda dirty and i was thinking maybe it was not clean enough when resealed . I think i could get this tank for a good price .

My questions are .

what should i look for to make sure its even good to start with ?
After the silicon is removed ,what holds the corner together ?
Can anyone reseal a tank ? ( im a carpenter for what its worth )
Any other advice on resealing, refinishing a tank ?

I've never built a tank, but I have worked with glass a bit. I can tell you this, if it's not clean nothing with stick to it.
People call me Donnie. I've got one Tiger O in a 55USG.

just scrape the old silicon, clean the edges, apply
new silicon, and assemble the panels. i used some making
tape to hold the panel in place while fixing the fresh
sealant inside, scrape the excess, and allow to cure for
48 hours before hydro testing. remove masking tape.

Thanks Paul

My only other question would be
If i can see no visual defects ,than should i assume that the tank is fixable?
Or are there such things as tanks that just arnt any good anymore

as long as there is no cracks on any panel, tank will be useful.
all concern lies on the edges sealant. some people just add sealant
in all corners to make sure and to re-enforce the existing.
