I'm all the way in the deep south in GA. But i didn't even spend but hmmmm like $65.00 on materials and it took me a few weekends to finish it. Dont spend all your money on the furniture grade lumber get the framing grade and the spruce up the stand with some pretty trim and there ya go...you got a pretty nice stand with some storage I stained it with a black walnut stain so it's really dark brown and beautiful

Thanks! I am pretty handy if i put my mind to it. There was no way i was going to pay $300 for a stand that isn't comparable to the one i built! i figure now since i know i can build them that i would start posting on craigslist for anyone who wants a handmade stand to contact me and just build them as the orders come in and as my time permits.....how much do you think someone would pay for a handmade stand?? i made it out of notty pine but i'm sure there are other woods that i could use if the clients wanted a different type

In this economy people are cheap.... But I would throw a couple hundred your way for that stand. I am from the frame of mind that you buy good quality once. And not crap repeatedly! If I were you, I would figure what you would have to have for materials, depending on size, how much time it takes, and rate accordingly!

I do believe it would cost way too much to ship but if people are willing to pay for the freight then i could definitely ship em! i have never offered a service like this before so i would really have no clue when it came to shipping, pricing, and all that good stuff. but yeah i will let you know if i make a good rep for myself with these stands then maybe i could start shipping....

I never looked at any plans. I got some construction experience under my belt though. I have always been pretty handy and mechanically inclined. Thanks to my dad and my highschool boyfriend / husband!
