can you use normal silicone or do u have to use aquatis stuff?

its not to reseal the tank just too stick thing to other thing in the tank?

I would use 100% silicone. you can get it at the local Hardware store. And this same thing works for resealing too.

as long as it 100% pure silicone with no additive there is no problem using it. one of the most popular brands among diy fishkeepers G.E. II silicone.

personally i use the home brand silicone from the neighbourhood home hardware store. its cheap conveniant and marked as safe for aquariums.

Just to clarify for us in the UK. 'normal' silicone sealer (like bath sealant) has an anti fungicide in it that is bad for fish, so buy either aquarium sealant or 100% silicone sealant (no additives)
