i have found that some of the large ornaments are very expensive,
so i have tried to find a cheaper solution.

We have lots of left over pool pipe so i drilled some holes into them and connected it bits together with wire.

it looked a bit dodgy so i spray painted it black.

I guess what im say is, will this ornament be able to be used or what coud i do to make it usable, or is it trash.

i think the two things you mention that would worry me,
wire and spray paint, 2 possible killers?

I agree... I paint nothing that goes in the tank... And wire unless aluminum, rusts... I wouldn't risk it!

that is what i thought too...any idea what kind of paint
did you use....if it is marine paint....then perhaps
it will be okey...but for wire...it will oxidized and
prone to entanglement...
