This was a shot when I first got my L114

Reason they are called a Leopard Cactus Pleco, those spikes would likely deter the most obnoxious Oscar.

I would look for at least a 6" one, not going to be cheap.

If I go with the L75 they have a 6" one, it's going to cost me almost exactly $100. Can't find a 6 inch L200.

For giggles I just held a measuring tape up to Marshall's tank. After he was done attacking me, I got a reading of about 9 inches. He's a year old, so this seems small to me but

Tape against the glass does not tell you much. I thought my fish was about 10.5 inches and I recently moved him and he had to sit in a bucket for a while where he touched edge to edge and his tail was curled. The bucket measured 11 1/4" across so my fish has to be more like 11 3/4" to 12" at least. Bet you if you actually had your fish out of water he is bigger than 9".

Given Marshall's recent semi-aggressive behavior, and still having a 75g to himself, I suggest not doing a pleco. If he cant eat it, he may well try to kill it. With a bigger tank I would say go ahead, but not at 48in and 75g. I have a large Oscar and similar sized plec in a 125. They fill it out just fine.
