I just got a new 55 gallon tank and i've never cycled a fish tank before. im gonna do the fishless cycling and i was just wondering if i have to condition the water while doing this process? and should i put the gravel and decor in while doing this?

You can go ahead and add your gravel, and your decor... Set the tank up like you would to have fish..

And yes use water conditioner during your cycle.

if you are going to do it with fishless cycling... are willing to
try to use fertilizer instead of pure ammonia? fertilizer is normally
compose of ammonium nitrate... just an idea... i had tried it several times
