by treating you mean what? testing? RO? pH? chloramine/chlorine removal?????

I use both Prime and API, both work great.
If you can't beat them...arrange to have them beaten!

prime works well and is concentrated so you use less to get the same results

better check first your tap quality.... it it has high chlorine,
you can used Prime or API. but if doesn't contain that much, why
waste money for it.
