Do test kits expire? Some one gave me a tetra tec test kit that they have hade for a long time and never used Free is good but I am not sure if the test kit is

there are some test kit that last for ages while others have an expiration
usually indicated in the label..... sometime, the manner it was stored had
also an effect to its effectiveness. have a look on its label.

There is no indication of an expiry date on it or any of the bottles.

the only possible way to know if it is still effective...do the test a.s.a.p.
and compare the result with the new test kit....

Well I just compared the test kits and the NO2 test were the same but the NH3/NH4 was way off as for the PH I use a digital tester so I did not even try it.

then you can use it for NO2 test, but not with NH3 & NH4, it can mislead you
and cause trouble....
