yeah its weird....there some kind of clear slime that's growing around the fish poop... my water is 0 0 5 temp 77-78F

5!? or 50? your talking about nitrates right?

yes 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 5 nitrates

You are either reading/testing incorrectly, because if you had 5ppm nitrates your tank would not be cycled properly.

His tank is cycled. he is just WAY over filtered.

There is still room inside my stand for one more fx5! =D the no3 filter is still not fully active, its taking its sweet time, i do notice a little drop in no3... i don't know if the no3 filter has anything to do with that slime growing around the poop, whatever it is, its beyond my fishy understanding...my fish don't seem to mind it...

Sam, I would say, if your water is good then I wouldn't worry! I think it will be ok.

....its interesting this slime...im doing a water change and vacing the gravel.... the slime completely covers the poop..like if it was feeding off it or something...interesting

its probably a fungus growing on the poo. You should be cleaning your gravel regularly
