The stress of being moved around prob caused this...it is also very common for two Oscars to live together for the first 6 months and then take a sudden disliking to each other....being squeezed in that 35gal will prob also cause it....yes they may have been in that tank all their lives but the fish are growing and are prob sick of being in each others faces. so get the 150gal set up and cycled ASAP That's all I can think of mate.
You have to be trusted. By the people that you lie to. So that when they turn their back on you. You get the chance to stick the knife in

once your O's start maturing they will choose a territory for them selves.
problem is if you have 2 males, they will both want the whole tank as ther territory.
But...the bigger tank is coming and the issues they have at the moment, may be gone once they have more territory.
No guarantee, but i say get that tank running soon, get them in and see what happens.
If they got more space for themselves and they keep at the fighting, we got some more things you can try, but those won't do you any good for now.

putting them in the new tank may have caused them to re-establish new territories and pecking order. Things may settle down over the new few days but them again 35g is small for 2 oscars and one may be one the losing end. Keep an eye out on them and if things get real bad think about rehomiong one of them until the 150g arrives
