I have a small "Dunnowhatitisexactly"-fish that was becoming a pain in my 90Gl community tank.
He killed his female and a female puntius as well.
Now he was trying to kill the other puntius and was chasing him all day, forcing him to hide behind the HOB all day.
So, I decided if he is a killer, he shouldt try his luck in the 180Gl, with the other fish that kill!.
And so far he's been very lucky, as well as very fast!
Apparently he has no intention of letting himself get eaten...
He survived all of the initial attention from my Gar and Oscar, and seems to make himself at home!
I wonder how long he can keep this up...

Way to go, give a bully a taste of his own medicine

I had a pest kribensis which wouldn't leave my bristlenose alone, constantly bothering the poor f****r, so i took him out and let him play with the oscar and JD in the bigger tank.
i'm not bloodthirsty, but that krib pissed me off.

lol good show! a lil of its own medicine!

This is where i disagree with you all. The fish is just doing what comes natuarally to it. It hasnt just decided to bully fish for something to do, so it doesnt need 'teaching a lesson'. I think it is cruel to put it in with your oscar etc to get eaten. If you dont like the fish then rehome it, dont put it in your oscar tank to be eaten. We would all go mad if someone put an oscar that was a bully in with much bigger fish to be eaten!!!!!!
I can't get no sleep

Well, the point was to rehome him and the 180Gl is the only suitable tank.
My Oscar seems to be getting used to the presence of the fish, and is not even chasing him.
My Gar on the other hand gets a fancy feeder now and then, usually swordtails .
So I guess he'll treat this fish no different...
As he's a 100% pescivore I like to see his normal behaviour whan hunting live prey.
The lil' fish seems more calm than he ever was and is just doing his regular thing, just no bullying anymore.
And I think it's another small fish that needs a lot of swimmingspace, which the 90Gl could not provide.
And he's not eaten yet...

Update:The little fish has addapted and is roaming the tank like he's been there forever.
My Gar is still lurking to catch him now and then, but for now he survived more than a week.
BTW does anyone know what kind of fish this is?
