I thought it was a trick at first. I didnt think that you could keep water high like that in the tank. I thought gravity would have levelled it all out.... Way cool though....

Im not sure but i think you would have to fill the bottom first and then add water to the upright structure from the top to get it to work...

That is way cool... I was thinking the same thing - how the water stays in the high tank?? I don't think this would be suitable for Oscars... they jump too much!

I have seen these on youtube and they look way cool. I would like to see one with some bigger fish. they use a pump in the top i think and it creates vacum.

You could keep Oscars if you had the bottom well glass rise up about 2 feet above the water level I think...although that still wouldn't completely eliminate the danger...

Keeping the water in the high part of the tank is simple as long as you dont allow air to get in or the whole lot crashes down and the water will be on the same level. If a hole even a pin prick at the top get in then the water wil lower slowly. Something must be holding up the water if he is putting the small net (I think) in and releasing bubbles to the top.
Still think it is a trick lololol

they put a pond pump in the top and it pumps to the bottom sucking air until the water reaches the top. also if the water in the lower tank goes below the verticle tank all hell is going to break loose.

I think it would look best as a large Koi tank...the design almost resembles a Japanese structure, and would look stunning in a traditional Japanese home with an open wall to a rock garden yard.
