I got bit on the elbow the other day. Annoying place to have a bite. But more scary than painful, and annoying.

But they'll grow, and then you'll know all about it, I'm sure :)

Ohhz wrote: I think this was day #2 that we took this video. Weezy seems to be more laid back and then Ralph just flys up to the front of the tank and starts doing his feed me dance. They are starting to like my hands more too... When sticking my hands in the tank to do things they now come around my hand, its really weird, they used to totally avoid being near me and now they are coming right up to my hands, probably curious about what i'm doing?

hi there

1. wow! what a cool tank setup.
2. very very nice.
3. just like a palace to ralph and weezy; they are so cute.
4. btw, i like the red markings on ralph, very distinctive.

And yea, im talking about frogs, or anything basically like that, Piranhas will rip it apart, an oscar will eat it whole. I watched a video of Piranhas eating a frog, and thats what turned me to oscars, I dont feel like pulling out a half eating whatever, and I know leaving food sitting around, or dead things, isnt good for your water.

hi there

1. on the feeding of prawns to oscars.
2. just make sure that the prawn is cut into small pieces that fit the oscar mouth.
3. when it is big or too bigger, the oscar tends to hold the piece in its mouth & goes hiding to "digest' it.
4. and in the meantime, it shall spit the piece out & swallow it again and again!
5. once the oscar has finished with the first piece, you can feed it with a second.
6. now, feeding prawns can also cause much bubbles forming on to the water top, i guess too much protein at one time.
7. leftover or uneaten prawn causes the water to smell bad too.
8. as such, i feed my oscars prawn one day before wc day.

I fixed the video, and if you look closely at Weezy you can see his colour dramatically change 40 seconds into the video :P

Yup, its the Lutino, and its more a swollen but then a bloated belly I think. It looks like the picture Rocksor showed, but more distributed and WAY less swollen, but its in that area, also it was almost flat today when I was looking at him, so its making me think that he just needed to swim around more in a big tank, his 10 Gallon wasnt good enough for him, I realise how different they are in the big tank, I cant even get pictures cause they wont stop moving, so I have to stick with videos for now :P I have another video from the other day aswell, ill upload it to youtube and add it in here :)

very cool setup.

i have that same background and i must say you have it looking great. i think the contrast from the white sand really makes it. plus it looks like you may have adhered it to the back glass. i usually just tape the corners down.

also that albino/ lutino has some nice markings. it will be fun to see how they progress.

:cheer:
