I was very disappointed not to come home with a tank mate. I'd set my heart on a Texas Cichlid. They had 3 stunning big ones all of which had been sold, just not collected yet

However I have since sourced and paid for one and shall be collecting on Saturday

Thanks everyone. I'm very pleased with her. (was sold as female) Even my other half who is never keen on my fish choices really likes her.

I see why they're called messy eaters, I fed her earlier. She's like a bad vacuum cleaner, the food gets suuuuuucked in but then bits come back out lol

lol so true. right now i have a little electric yellow lab with my oscar... and i feed oscar pellets first... then i feed the other ones flakes because ive seen him eat some of my smaller fish at feeding time while they were going after flakes. anyways, my electric yellow has developed the habit of hanging out under my oscar when its eating, and he gobbles up the bits that come back out from the oscar. its pretty nice really, less cleanup for me

I was asking about yellow labs as tank mates in another thread. How are you finding they get on?
