OFL created the topic: Images on camera disappear after rotation

Looking for some help if possible. Took some photos yesterday, some of them were portrait, so when I viewed them on the computer I rotated them 90°. However, when I try and view the images on the camera again, it's saying they data is available, however the images are still on the card. If anyone can help work out how we can view the images on the camera, would be very grateful

So if you unhook the camera from the computer and then hook it back up again are you able to view those pics on the computer again?

sorry, I meant to say data is unavailable.

Yes, the pictures do not disappear from the SD card, you can put the card into the reader and the photos are there. However, put the card back in the camera and then scroll through the pictures, the ones that I rotated appear to not be available.

If you're changing the formatting outside the way the picture was originally taken and editing with 3rd party software, the camera may be unable to read the changes even though it still recognizes the data.

Best bet, before you make edits, make copies on your hard drive and edit those, leave the ones on the camera alone unless your camera has editing software of its own.
