xp all the way ! you should try 2007. its brilliant

What don't you like about it?
Believe me, I'll be the first person to dis it if it was crap.I use quite a lot of sophisticated programs and I have not run into any problems whatsoever. The only issue I had was some of the software I use either didn't work on Vista, or did not work on 64-bit. However, it was easy to get hold of that was made specifically for 64-bit. The software that came with my trackball mouse which has buttons that you can program does not work on Vista 64-bit. The Kensington start Manufacturing software for Vista because Vista has its ownmouse functions built-in. I rely heavily on being able to space use a drag function. That is built into Vista and you can program your mouse to do it. I actually now prefer my trackball that way it is, rather than the way it used to be using Kensington software.
Vista also has its own speech recognition built in. Haven't used it that much because I've got my own, however it works really well from the time I detest it.
I could go on about Vista and how good it is. Vista is quite different from XP and one has got to be a little bit patient and either spends time looking through the control panel on finding out what things do, or find a tutorial, there are loads out there that will give you a really good lesson in using Vista.
When I compare the way my programs run on my Vista 64-bit system to the way they ran on XP, it is literally the difference between a normal family saloon, and a Porsche, and that is absolutely no exaggeration.
