I use NOD, it's very discrete and light weight. I've put Microsoft security essentials on my kids pc's as it's free and seems to do a good job from the reviews I read.

I think you have to bear in mind that there are always going to be limitations when using free software. Since I've been using Kaspersky I haven't had a single problem. I would advise everyone to get on YouTube and search out reviews, some of them are really good

I use AVG and have never had a problem since I installed it. Macaffy let me down before that. THough I have heard/read Avast is the better free virus scan. But its kind of like, "if it aint broke, don't fix it". ;)

If I was going to pay for a virus scan software... it would be Kaspersky.

as i stated in my first post, i used Norton before, but switched to Kaspersky, and it's much better.
It only interferes with my media player, which now takes 5 minutes to start up...
But i like it and it works very good.

I have been using Kaspersky for the last couple of years and I couldn't be more happy, it runs in the background, updates automatically on a daily basis and I don't even know it's there. Personally, I absolutely hate Norton and McCaffe (sorry noddy) as the company seems to try and force you to use their product in a lot of cases, I don't like the fact that new computers often come with it already installed and you have a have a job trying to remove all elements, there is always something left on a computer. Also, sometimes when you download a program, a Norton scan is included and you end up with this bloody thing popping up on your computer every now and then.

I have a five PC user license, it cost me just over £100 for two years, I reckon that is a very good bargain. You don't need any disc, just download the program onto the computer and then activate it using your product key.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
