Okay guys, looking for some information ASAP if possible. I'm ready to upgrade to Win 7. just been reading some information and apparently I have got to create a bootable rescue disk. I am aware of what one of these is, however I don't know how to carry out the process. Any help would be very much appreciated

No info in the help files on the subject?That would be my only idea.

if you go to start then search and type in backup
it will take you through the process, PERSONALLY i have never bothered on my computers,
obviously a laptop is different as most new laptops you have to create them now,

make sure you save all your important stuff to an external h/d or write them to a dvd,
obviously if you havn't got the drivers/system discs then you also need to save them,
i am pretty confident that you won't have any problems, and if you do it will be a while before your back to ban me
nah just make sure you save photos/docs or anything that if lost you don't think oh s*** i meant to do that

you dont need a bootable disc to load Win 7.

Whats your system configuration?? is it a notebook?
Ram?
HDD?
Free space on HDD?
Processor?
Is your processor 32bit or 64bit?
Graphic card?
Is it an OEM?

Win7 Discs are bootable discs... which version of Win7 do you have?? Is that a 32bit or a 64bit edition?

One more thing..... are you planning to upgrade or do you want to format and clean install??? If you are planning to upgrade then let me know your existing Operating System as well.
