Hey here is some better pictures of my OB Peacock. Yes he lives in my oscar tank but I think he looks healthy and happy you guys be the judge?! I chose him because I read a lot about this fish being largely breed in captivity and "man made" though breedings so he was more of an aquarium fish so I said let me give it a chance! plus I love how he looks
But since nina asked I'm happy to oblige !!

Thank you! He really is a lovely, lovely OB. The extensions of his fins are marvelous. He sure looks happy too!
Cebo, OB peacocks are part mbuna, part peacock, part breeder secret. No one really knows. Flowerhorns of the African world, just not as carefully 'constructed'. Their temperament can be impossible to predict. But they're lovely! I really wanted one way back when, but they're almost never available here, so I'm living a tad vicariously through Ehall:P
How big is he now?

I thought part mbuna. i have seen many mbuna with that color pattern.
haven't seen many peacocks with that color pattern. cool though, kind of a tri color, almost camo. lol.
i see what you mean about varying behavior (aggression). i know the mbuna are usually pretty aggressive. and peacocks are often a little more docile. ... does your behaive more like a peacock?

I have a firemouth cichlid in my tank that I want to get a good picture of he is getting so big fastest going fish I have had (other than OZ). he is even starting to get a little hump on his head i didn't think they got those? and he has beautiful reds and blues on him
@CEBO @NINA Thanks a lot im glad you think he looks good and OZ too thats great makes me feel like I'm doing a good Job!!
Thanks I love my plants and he is about 5 inches I am guessing but not as thick as my other cichlids so he does not look as big
And as far as aggression ummm he was really aggressive in the store in the tank with his species but in this tank OZ is number one the firemouth is number 2 and then the rest just live there lol... only the firemouth trys to mess with him tho and he never challenges him
