This is, luckily, one of the most aggressive Victorian fishies. Already a beauty. Divide them off, give it a bit of time, and see. But I think you may have a fair chance, depending on how big this guy is, and how intolerant your OB is - they don't grow all that large, these guys (about three inches).

They can be murderously intolerant of other victorian haplochromines.

And time to switch to veggie pellets, if you haven't already. Actually, it may be best to not feed them pellets until you get low protein food - less than 40% (less than 35% if you can manage it). Sera, NLS and hikari all have a veggie pellet that will work.

Good luck, Eddie. Is this guy just on his own?

He has 2 females of his species in there..... and then I bought 6 new female obs they are much smaller 2 1/2 inches but I hope they grow... I have peas not but I will buy some new pellets ! No problem! Just gots to find em and I'm sure they are at the convention somewhere...

I also put some new pots in there I will take a video b4 I release killer to see if there I enought .... I will build till all better.... I will not be defeated.... and if I can't gt it to work abd he kills everyone again I will put him an a 20 and he will just have to live alone ....

with six of them, hopefully, he'll go after one, and get distracted by another one. With some of the seriously aggressive mbuna, you can need even more females, but this is still a peacock, it can't be that bad.

No, as far as mixing fish goes, this has a fairly good shot.

Looks ok, he will chose corner ashis own and defend it. Do you know which pundamillia it is? Be very careful not to get any females from a different variety.....hybrids are seriously frowned on. It looks like an Anchor island. Mine are from Ruti Island. There are many varieties.

it was sold as a Pudamilia Nyererei... I should have asked more questions... I actully forgot the name when I first left I had to look it up whne I got home I was so excited by the purchase :pinch: :pinch: ...

I will have to admit I am about as new as they come to the africans  ....

I will need some one with more expertise than my own to help me and see if it is a hybrid or if it is pure and there where from...

can you tell the difference ? should I start taking better pictures maybe out of the tank?

and the females were bought from the same guy so I think it will be ok

Here are some good shots of him I am almost second guessing myself...

1.) colors match the picture
2.) But look at the mouth with the downward slope not the same?
3.) Look at the forehead also more of a hump than the picture I found...
4.) not quite as bright but he did just get moved and is in a new tank

does this mean just a morph or a hybrid or just Older?

Here is a good shot of the Female maybe that will help you guys

Not a big problem unless you want to breed the pundamillia neyereri (I always have trouble spelling it) there are close to ten varients
