River fish! The 'other africans'. Lovely, Ben. Thanks for sharing.

I just wish so many of these fish weren't banned here. A tank with some jewels and butterflyfish (assuming I can get them eating) would be just lovely. But no jewels for us down here.

I was going to say the africans we never talk about lol!!! I like it !! saved this one to make sure to post all the set up they do on here ben I like looking at them!! :)

Not so much invasive as that our forestry board does not know yet. The rule here is to ban first, and only after proof that they aren't (can't be) invasive you're allowed to keep them... which is a bit of a catch 22.

We have naturally occurring, but endangered fish related to jewels here, and they interbreed easily. So in this case it makes sense. But most of our banned species are as above - guilty until proven innocent (all freshwater crustaceans, for example).

Jewels are so beautiful fish, I love them.
Please please no one speaks about red jewels here, unless you want me to get affected by a severe from of MTS, I am still thriving to find a good place to put the oscar tank
