Could a kribensis be with a jewel cichlid? If not, is there any other cichlid could it be with?

One key to a successful African tank is plenty of hiding spots. In my 120g Af tank I have 4 Kribs, a pair of red Jewels, Demasoni, Kenyi, Edwardi, OB Peacocks, Red Empress, Auratus , yellow Labs, Chilumba, and a handful of unidentified Mbuna, likely hybrids. To put a single Krib with a single Jewel would likely equal a quickly killed Krib, but in a mixed, crowded big enough tank with plenty of hides, sure, it works fine

Like a lot of smaller Africans, Kribs do best with some of their own. You should see if you can add a few more.

Jewel cichlids are "pocket battleships", & there are so many different species, I would say 1st & foremost what species ? (H. Elongatus would kill or try to kill almost anything it's put in with!!), & go from there, as they have different levels of territorality & aggression; different topic, but I also wouldn't mix African lacustrine & riverine species, as they have different PH & hardness requirements, & very different levels of "hostility"(sorry Dave!!); people do it, but that's just my take on it.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

lol.. no sorry necessary Jack, my Af tank is a mix-up of all kinda things that likely shouldnt be together. My Af knowledge is quite limited, and most of them were given to me. I call them my "purdy" fish. They are better off than where they came from and get the same attention as the rest of my fish. I lose one every few months, but all in all the tank works pretty well.
