More rocks... your fish need places to get out of sight completely.

Other than that, hooray! I love your mixture, river pebbles and slate :)

There is more than you can see in the picture. I counted 14 different caves where an adult could fit. I think I'm going to stack a few more stones in the corners though if I can fit them.

x2 You can never have enough hiding places for these guys! I learned the hard way! But it looks awesome! Plus as they get bigger, you will have to make your hiding places wider for them. I learned that lesson too!!

Thanks. I've put more pebbles in so it looks a lot nicer now. That was taken right after I'd finished with the slate. I can honestly say it looks better than I thought it would.

One of my great pleasures is rearranging my rocks. It's an afternoon's exhausting work, so I don't do it often, but afterwards my tank feels like a new pair of jeans - just can't wear them enough.

Did you stack them on the bottom, or on the gravel?

The slate? I tried to dig the bottom layer into the gravel.

Good idea! I learned a valuable lesson with my first build. I just laid the slate on top of the gravel. I didn't realize how much these guys dug out the gravel. When I woke up in the morning, my beautiful hours of work was toppled over!! They had completely dug out the corner and caused it to lean just enough to make everything fall over! Luckily no one was hurt or killed but I learned my lesson!

So what are you going to put in there for fish??
