I read somewhere that yellow labs like to graze on algae and I should have strong lighting in their tank to promote algae growth.
I did now I have green algae everywhere on the decorations and on the tank glass, algae on the decorations isn't bothering me, and I don't mind cleaning the glass, however I don't want to pointless work, is that true ?
Should I have intense lighting to promote algae growth for yellow labs ot it is pointless ?

unlike many other rock dwelling mbuna, yellow labs are omnivores, with a less strict vegetarian diet than most. That's why their mouths are more pointed than their brethren, and not flat, with thick lips.

also puts them at a disadvantage when there is lip-locking going on.
