Hi everyone i just set up a small Ocianic 14 gallon Biocube. I tell you what this is way more expensive then freshwater. even with a 14 gallon i have invested so far about $500.00 all i have gottin so far is the tank, some live rock still need more, live sand, mixable salt, test kits. I still need at least 12 more lbs of live rock. $8.99 a lbs because the live rock im using. Coral is gonna get expensive. and i have the fish i want picked out already so i have probably anther $500 easily more to go.. if not more..

lovely tank, and very beautifull fish.
Hope it all works out, for it seems like a lot of money.
how much is the lightfixatuture in watts, to keep the corals alive?
and how much is the complete volume of Watts you use, incuding flowpumps?

I got a brackish tank, but my first GSP died, and i have no clue why. :pinch:
And just as my life is "so incredibly beautifull" at the monent, my other GSP seems to be dying to... :( :( :(
And if this happens, i'm giving up the brackish fish project, for i cannot have anymore disappointments at this time.

I just bought a Ocianic BioCube 14 Gallon it comes complete with Lighting, and wet dry filter in the back. The lighting it has is
48 watt canopy lighting includes:
(1) 24 watt True Actinic 03 Blue straight pin
(1) 24 watt 10,000K Daylight straight pin
(2) 0.75 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED
the pump pumps out 137 gph
Here is the system online they do have a 29 gallon but since i dont own and rent my house i wanted something small so i can move it easily.

And to be honest yes its very expensive compaired to fresh water with the money i spent i could of got a big tank lol.. But it will Be worth it in the end. I found a nice 75 gallon Ocianic tank with built in overflow, Wet dry filter system, with all the reef lighting and Nice Stand for $450.00 but just to buy the live rock, live salnd would make me go broke lol... If anyone is interested about the 75 gallon and live around iowa i can give u the name of the guy and number its a small pet store..

i just bout 8lbs more of live rock this weekend the tank lookes good im happy with it so far. And it takes alot for me to be pleased. As of right know i have done 3 water changes 20% each time to help keep some of the levels down. My Ammonia just went to zero yesterday so im getting close for the cycle to be done. i do have alot of brown algae in the tank but thats completely normal. Im gonna go pick up some of my cleanup crew tonight. Im excited but my Fiance hates when i talk fish lol so this is the only place i can really say anything about it unless im at the LFS lol
