The LFS has some green spotted puffers they are realy nice and I have empty tanks.
Before venturing
i would ask your advice, I have read a lot and all I had was contradictory reading.
When young they live quite well in freshwater but as adults they need brackish or fully saltwater ?
The LFS says that brackish is better but he keeps brackish fish in feshwater with no problems (he actually has a very large scatt fish living in a freshwater display tank for years)
Will they live nicely in freshwater ?

Alot of the time they can live fine in freshwater. I had a silver scat about 8" that lived in fresh water perfectly fine with no problems.

To have a brakish tank isnt as hard as saltwater, all you need is to add salt and measure the salinity,

Haku, I knew your were good.
