How hard is it to get something like that started? I was thinking of building a 20 gallon tank with a couple clowns or something. Any idea cost wise to get it started?

You are realistically talking about $200-$600 or even more (really no upper limit as there are tons of gadgets and the like, but realistically on a basic proper set up you are talking several hundred).
More around the 500+ mark if you're starting from scratch.

Sorry that the fire eel didn't pan out. I really like them, they're very striking eels. But I'm glad the little zig zag is doing fine :)

Josh is right. It can be pretty expensive and take awhile to start up. But the only hard part is getting started, once you get everything together and somewhat of a routine down I've found that its very easy to keep a reef tank. Extremely worth it :)

You can keep clowns in a 10 gallon tank? I thought they got to like 5 inches or more? Would there be enough room to swim? lol

After looking through the thread again, I think I may have to move my betta out of his 10g and figure something like this out. That's a stellar tank my friend.
