I had no idea the pleco could actually hurt him like that. So I should separate them then?

sorry I haven't replied to this for quite some time. But everything is well! They were fighting over food. So I feed my oscar first, and make sure he is full and doesn't want to eat anymore, then I feed my pleco.
The probem was I'd feed them at the same time, and the oscar would want to pig down the plecos food, and he wasn't too happy about it.
This seems to be working though so far.
Thank you guys so much for your help!

whoa! you bring back an old topic for a question.... why not create your own thread so that you can follow on what you want to know...

table salt is just an ordinary salt like rock salt, not iodized nor mineralized...

Get proper aquarium salts which does not contain any additives, salt that you put on your food is no good. If you want to add salt to your aquarium then the dose is one tablespoon per 5 gallons of water when you carry out of water change. However, I personally don't see any reason to add salt to a freshwater aquarium, but you will get varying opinions on this matter. My advice would be to research the matter and make your own mind up whether you want to do it.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)
